What is electronic chill music?
Chill-out music (sometimes also chillout, chill out or simply chill) is a genre of electronic music and an umbrella term for several styles of electronic music characterized by their mellow style and mid-tempo beats, “chill” being derived from a slang word for “relax”.
Where is EDM from?

A creation of the post-industrial Midwest, it was in mid-1980s Chicago, whose club The Warehouse gave house music its name, and Detroit, which incubated its own spartan brand of Kraftwerk-inspired electronic funk known as techno, that the earliest EDM-style tracks were created.
Who invented Chillout?
The term originated from an area called “The White Room” at the Heaven nightclub in London in 1989. Its DJs were Jimmy Cauty and Alex Patterson, later of the Orb.
