Are visitors allowed at CERN?
Registration is mandatory, on site and 2 hours in advance only upon availability. Group guided tours are available but COVID-19 measures still applied in some places force us to reduce the offered visit programmes. Public events in the Globe of Science and Innovation will take place.

Can US citizens work at CERN?
There are NO nationality restrictions for candidates applying for a Senior Fellowship. It is true that the majority of Fellows come from the Member States, but since CERN aims to attract candidates who are the best in their field, Fellows come from all over the world.

Is CERN salary tax free?
You are reminded that the Organization levies an internal tax on the financial and family benefits it pays to the members of the personnel (see Chapter V, Section 2 of the Staff Rules and Regulations) and that the members of the personnel are exempt from national taxation on salaries and emoluments paid by CERN.
