How to cartoonize a photo.
- Add your image. Choose the image you want to cartoonize into Photoshop.
- Convert your image into a Smart Object so you can make nondestructive edits. Go to the Filter menu and click Convert for Smart Filters.
- Apply the Poster Edges effect.
- Save your cartoonized photo.
- Go to Filter › Liquify.
Why is it called Hammerspace?
The term was fan coined as the place cartoon characters and anime/manga characters would store the overly-large hammers and assorted weaponry they had a propensity for hitting each other with, especially for comedic effect. The actual location of hammerspace is very hard to determine.

How do I use the Paint Mode on the cartoonizers?
By now you’ve noticed that there is a Paint Mode on our Cartoonizers, you can either paint in the effect or apply the effect and paint the original back in. To paint in the effect, check the Paint Mode box, then check the Reverse box and paint the part of the image you want to apply the effect.
