What is tychem TK?

DuPont™ Tychem®TK chemical barrier material consists of a high strength, high tear resistant, 100% nonwoven poly- ester staple fabric sandwiched between two proprietary non-halogenated barrier films. One side is coloured high visibility green and the opposite side is coloured white.

What is Tychem 10000?

Tychem® 10000 is specifically developed for protection against toxic, corrosive gases, liquids and solid chemicals. This high-performance chemical barrier fabric is suited for industrial, HazMat, and domestic preparedness applications. Taped seams provide strong chemical resistance against heavy liquid splashes.

What is tychem made of?

DuPont™ Tychem® F garments are made of a proprietary barrier film laminated to DuPont™ Tyvek®. The fabric provides at least 30 minutes of protection against more than 180 chemical challenges, including chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals.

How much does a full HazMat suit cost?

What is the difference between Tyvek and tychem?

It is important to know that Tyvek can only handle a light liquid splash, so it is typically used for protecting against dry substances such as dust. If you need protection against hazardous liquids, a DuPont Tychem Suit is an excellent choice. It was designed especially for biological and chemical protection.

Do tychem suits expire?

All DuPont™ Tychem® chemical protective garments may contain materials, including gloves and closures for which there is no specific storage life data available. It is suggested that garments be labeled and retired to “Training Use Only” after 5 years after receipt by the purchaser.
