Does AT give modem and router?
AT provides a wireless gateway(modem/router combo) to all customers.
Can I replace my AT uverse modem?
We may replace the modem, Wi-Fi gateway, or maintenance plan equipment with a similar or refurbished product. Lost or stolen equipment may be replaced at the market rate. If damaged or destroyed by any other cause, it may also be replaced. We must receive the defective equipment within 30 days of notifying us.
Does AT provide free modem?
When you order att internet you get a gateway (router/modem) which includes wifi. The later models are dual band (2.4 and 5 GHz). You can if you wish use your own router if connected behind the gateway which is always required. Some do that for better wifi than that provided by the att gateways.
How do I get a new modem from AT?
Call customer service at (800) 288-2020. When you get to a live representative, ask for a newer model gateway. They should be able to send you a newer model.
