What Is BOA? The Boa Fit System is a unique design that integrates a dial, lace, and guide configuration throughout the shoe to achieve the exact fit the athlete needs to perform at his or her best. It was originally developed for use on snowboard boots in 2001 for a safer, more secure, precision fit on the mountains.
Where is FootJoy manufactured?
Initially, Footjoy golf shoes were manufactured in England, but rising costs necessitated a move to Asian countries and recently to Mexico. Although their shoes are still manufactured globally, Mexico has become the most popular manufacturing center.
Is the BOA system good?
Boa is great, especially if you only fish several times a year. If you’re whacking out 100 river days a year or more, if you hike a lot, travel a lot, and especially if you are hard on your gear, I’d suggest you take a pass on Boa. And that’s the honest truth after playing with this stuff for a few years.
